I just wanted to thank the few people who may have viewed my blog. I haven’t raised anything as of yet, but I will keep on hoping and working other efforts to get the tuition for my first class.

I haven’t been on this blog since my first post, having four children can occupy every spare minute you have. I did want to mention to anyone out there, that I started a fundraising event online with Go Get Funding. It is pending approval but I will post the link if anyone is interested.

Hello, this is my first time on WordPress…

Hello, this would be my first post on WordPress, and I am excited. Yes my name on this blog is sponsormethroughharvard. Why? Because it is a dream of mine, one that I don’t know if I will achieve due to being a minority who was raised in the lower middle class, and financially can’t afford to attend.

Why should anyone care about my dreams? Well nobody should care, and I understand if they don’t. I am just an optimist… that is hoping that someone who is in a way better financial situation than me, wouldn’t mind attempting an experiment. The same experiment that the Duke brothers offered Billy Ray Valentine the opportunity of a lifetime in the movie “Trading Places.” I am not a con artist like Eddie Murphy portrayed, so the paremeters of the experiment are a little different.

But I am a minority, a woman. I am stuck in a viscious financial cycle that many minorities inherit and just can’t figure out how to break out of. So am I educated? Yes I am, but education in the past few years has not been able to guarantee a job.

Still, against all of these odds, I want to attend an institution that otherwise doesn’t want a person like me. My bare bank statements tell me that I am chasing an illusive dream, and that dreamers waste away into nothingness. All I can say to that is, I am stubborn. So I am excited, I hope to meet someone like the Duke brothers, wealthy and perhaps eccentric. Interested in changing someone’s life around with money that they might otherwise donate to one of their many charities. Use your excess funds, and donate to my cause!
